Chef Competition

If we choose your essay you can become one of the 10 finalists that will compete in the culinary cook-off.

Finalists will be required to butcher (fabricate) one whole chicken for use in their entrée. Each competitor must prepare and present a two-course menu. The menu will be comprised of a salad or appetizer and an entrée (consisting of the fabricated chicken, accompanying starch and vegetable).

Scholarships:

The following Scholarship Awards will be awarded:

First Place: $5,000

Second Place: $3,000

Third Place: $2,000

All Scholarships awarded will be applied towards tuition at Pennsylvania Culinary Institute. These scholarships are not valid for use at any other institution. The recipient of the scholarship must enroll within 6 months of receiving the award, or the prize will be forfeited. Upon starting classes, the scholarships will be applied to the students’ second academic year.

  • An official entry form containing contact information (Name, address, phone number, email address, and name of High School).
  • An essay articulating "Why I want to be the next Future Chef of America".
  • A current high school transcript (unofficial transcripts are satisfactory)
